That's the sister of my son's blueburst baby Z deluxe! Looks great! My son's has stock pups in it. Let me know how it sounds if you ever decide to change the pups.

Thanks, Joe. I wanted that Baby Pearl Blueburst Z that you bought for your son, but when you bid on it for him I backed off. They are beautifully finished Guitars and I hope he is having a good time with it. I'll keep this one stock as I'm really a SH##tte player, but that doesn't lesson my love of these Deans!

Was that on ebay? I didn't see it, but there was one almost a year ago that looked exactly like that. Some folks here bid on it and then the auction was cancelled and the seller never heard from again. He wanted over $400 for it.

Ebay, yes. Auction ended last week and I was the one and only bidder?? Go figure. This finish is very rare on these Babys and I'm lucky to get this one. I paid $450 with shipping and quite frankly I would have gone higher on this one. It has no rash and one very small dimple near the binding. It's stunning. Complete with original warranty card.

I'll post my Z since the other forum crapped out with all the good info. I have owned this one from new and it is completely original and has no rash whatsoever. It has basically been stored since new:

That is s a beautiful Baby.

Does the warranty card look like it says 3-15-86? The reason I'm asking is because there are so many 41XXXX in addtion to the stamped '84 "Made in USA" guitars.

Is it possible they made so many Baby's that year?

What kind of shape is the badass bridge on your Baby? I recently got an identical one in red but the badass bridge is in pretty sad shape.......... looking for a new one.

Yes it does and yes I beleive they were all made in '84 with many not sold until 1986.

The badass is in good shape although it needs a good cleaning. The main bolts need to be replaced, however,'cause whoever was "screwing" them used a steak knife or something other than the proper sized screwdriver Rolling Eyes
