I know you guys already know this but I'll say it anyway.....it's the best playing guitar I've ever owned. It's perfect in every way. I only started back playing a couple of weeks ago and the first guitar I picked up was my PRS CU22. I thought it played pretty good. Now that I have played the Z, that PRS is banished to the closet. Heck it tears up my old buddy, the Les Paul. This is the guitar I remember from years back. It's so easy to play, I'm just shocked.

The only thing I have to get used to is the pups, they sure are wired different from a Les Paul. All the tones I get are killer.

The dealer I bought it from forgot to send the booklet and stuff, I e-mailed Dean to see if they would mail it. In the meantime, what guage string is on my USA TC Z?

To sum up, this axe is more than I could ever hope for and I plan rock the house down for many years to come. Dean is the only one for me!

TC V here. I love it. I don't see my Les Paul Custom getting too much of play time anymore...

You got a 99 cent cord. You got the deluxe model. Usually you get the 49 cent model.

Well, since they don't like paperwork that much, do you guys know what gauge strings are on the Z. The guy @ Dave's Guitar thought it was 10's but wasn't sure. Maybe they are, they just feel lighter.

I think I got 10's on my custom ML....I think they are GHS strings...I though all DEANs were equipped with em!

I love GHS BTW...I love almost any brand strings, never heard much difference!

Your probably right about the brands, I've just always use GHS. I guess they are 10's, they feel like 8's or something. The action just floors me.

Thanks for the info.

ps: my other guitars won't even look me in the eyes anymore. Crying or Very sad Laughing

Bet you're loving it! I have used Daddarrio 10-46's forever on my guitars. They make my Dean V sing!

I'll play anything but Ddario's or however you spell it. Those things constantly break within the first couple of hours. I think they're unreliable to say the least. But I'll play any strings really as long as they're 50something to 10 (ie heavy) I don't mind. I'm not too precious about strings and picks and stuff. It's all pretty good.

Speaking of picks, has anyone tried a Jellyfish yet? Interesting...

I like Boomer TNT 10/52's - great bottom end tone from them.
