I got one of these off a H/C forumite for a project strat that I'll be putting together.Still have to track down some parts,so I couldn't help but think about putting it in my '79 r/i Z.It had an XL-500 in it,but that p/up didn't seem "at home" with that guitar,it was very bright.
I recently got a "Norton" off eBay for another guitar,& it's an amazing bridge p/up,so I put the TZ in the Dean.
WOW!!!
Now I have to buy another one...

Tone Zone in the bridge and a Norton in the neck is a great combo - I'd go for it!!
