Though i'm not big on Christmas, I find it's a good time to spend a lot of money and not feel guilty. So what does everyone want for christmas? I already bought one of the things on my list... METALLICA TICKETS!!! Got them this morning, but I didnt want to start a post about it, seeing as how everyone has a hemroid over Metallica. I'm also buying a new amp, and perhaps a new guitar, a Fender (sorry) Highway 1 Telecaster (sorry, not a Dean). And last but not least, 5.10 Anasazi Velcro climbing shoes.
What do you guys and girls want? |

Not to be a Scrooge, but I want this year to be over. I'm on 68 days straight at work, not counting a week or so for a funeral during which I STILL WORKED REMOTELY.
Shoot me. Shoot me now. |

Hey Man!
No need for excuses regarding musical taste or purchase of other brands! Most of the forum participants DO actually own other brands than Dean as well...
Enjoy music and playing! ...that's what's important!
As for my own wishes...?
Since the decision is made that I WILL be buying the DOA ML, I would like time to speed up a bit so I can order it, get it shipped to my place and play it..... |

I just want to finish my Strat project, or scrap it and buy an amp. Can't decide which until my Fender/Kubicki neck gets back from NY after having the frets crowned/leveled/polished and getting new Klusons installed and then aged to match the neck. This is the neck I got from Dana in the box of parts. I'm only concerned because it has a hard V profile, and I don't think my left thumb is going to like it much. I had surgery a few years back and my thumb cramps up a bit because I do lots of power and barre chords. I'm thinking the V profile will just aggravate it more. We'll see. If I do finish it, I want a set of Lace Gold pickups and a cream pearloid pickguard, and some Graphtec string savers to finish it off. If I end up selling all the parts, there will be a new Fender amp in the house! Either way, life is good my friends! |

it would be soo easy just to say i want another guitar.. but frankly i don't really need one. i love my exotica and my evo.. could use a better amp than my little vox 15watt practice amp...
but what i really desire is a job.. i've been looking for a group who needs a rythm player forever.. but nothing out there.. man to have gigs and to be able to take my playing to the next level.. that would be awesome.. anyone out there know anyone in wichita?? yeah i didn't think so.

ps i wish people would stop preaching false doctrine on tv.. no wonder so many people are disillusioned about christianity.. |

I have a TC Z, being built as a Christmas present to myself. I would also like to have for Christmas, a G&L Interceptor. I want either the first, or second body style Interceptor.

I live in Vancouver Canada.
I almost crapped myself silly yesterday morning, I woke up my mom to get her credit card and i ran to my computer to buy the tickets. after i got them I called my friend and i said "WE'RE SEEING METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
we got section 109 row 19
http://www.ticketmaster.ca/venue/VAN/5/van005-fullconcert.gif
i know some people from the metallica forums are sitting in the row behind me. Ahhh, it will be a good good good time. |

Hard to beat Jim's gift to himself.
My gift from the wife (which I got to pick out), is that I am getting both of Wingnuts (Hunter/Dave) basses he was selling.
Just awaiting the arrival of the Trans-Blue ML, and the Braziliaburst Z Bass. |

A HUGE fooking headstock attached to either an ML or V body...any color will do unless it's that rainbow guitar from ebay...uck...though I prefer black, white, and silverburst the most...
Besides that, how about some Dean posters like zzz was giving away...I'd love some of those to hang on my wall of shame when I'm back in Korea.
As to Metallica tickets...hope you enjoy them...I myself would prefer to see Arch Enemy or King Diamond personally...or even just a free pass to DOA III.... |

Thanks folks. That picture was taken yesterday morning. I specifically told the pilots I wanted to contrails to look like a Series 1 headstock, but sometimes they just do what they want.
We started this process several months ago and we've been living in a pretty small apartment since September. We're still about three weeks out from closing. There are still some things to be done with paint, lighting, the back porch and some wiring. We won't get sod until early spring. A nice mud yard. At least it's easily maintained.
It's kind of my Custom Shop project. We had the builder do a couple of changes to the basic plan.
Here's to hoping you guys get everything on your wish lists. And especially a blue US Caddy bass for Bernt.

Nice house, Jim! I hope there's plenty of room for a studio and Dean storage
For me, well, I recently didn't follow through on a promise to a friend until it was too late. I let him down. Other than a safe holiday for all my friends and family, the only thing I want for XMas is my friend to forgive me...
Have a great holiday everyone. See you in a week when I get back from Tokyo.
