I have decided I can't wait until Feb 04 for another one so I am buying this one also:

Congrats on a real purdy guitfiddle. How are the Bartilonini's? I know the bass players like them but haven't heard any reports on the guitar pick-ups.

The prototype has Seymour Duncans in it: Neck SM-2 Custom Mini Humbucker, Bridge: JB and they are both tapped. This one sounds excellent. The new one has Bartolini's but I haven't received it yet. Chuck has a Helios with the Bartolini's and he says it smokes. I now have 2 of the first 5 Chafin Embers produced.

I talked with Ben yesterday, I now know for a fact that the 2 Embers I have are the first 2 that Ben built.
They also are the only 2 that he built in 2002. The other 3 were built in 2003, so I am really pleased.
