It's ok. Actually, I've got this real ugly green plaid wallpaper in that room and decided to try to cover it with figures. It took me 8 years but it's done. |

Star Wars rocks! I haven't collected the apparel since I was a kid (when I was little I had Return of the Jedi bed linen. That was cool).
Throb : I used to have both of those. Dang! If only I'd known the value back when I was 4.
Now for a couple of pics since youse wanna see gear.
Pardon the large piccies. |

This is the only guitar I have at the moment. It's the Tradition G12 that I bought from Jay, but the pickguard, pickups, and all electronics are all Fender. My Carvin sold on ebay tonight so no more pics of it. I am rebuilding a Fender Strat that is still in the process and should be complete next week.

Cheers fellas. I'm currently working on a 'current rig' piccie. Gotta haul it all into the lounge room to do it. The collection is getting too big!
PS : The Deans are all for sale to make way for newer, shinier US Deans. Kills me to sell the flamey EVO but I want to get my TC made (and room in the house for it)!
Lon : Bout time you get that Strat finished. I can't wait to see pics. Talk about building up the anticipation! |

I've been agonizing over this strat project for ages now and still can't make up my mind what pickups to get. Since I sold my Carvin I have the $$ to get whatever I want so $$ isn't the problem. There are just a freakin' million pickup and pickup configurations to choose from! Should I go SSS, HSS, HH????? I'm not asking for opinions, I just have to choose and do it! AAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH I can't make up my mind! That's surprising for me eh? |

What kind of sound do you want from your Strat Lon? I just finished a Fiesta Red Hardtail Relic and put Texas Specials in it - man it's got that SRV thang goin' on. I'm building a new one with a pair of Bill Lawrence L-500's (HH) & a full scalloped neck. My other Hardtail has a JB jr., 1/4 pounder & a "lil 59. Also tone will depend on what bridge you use - I'm putting a Hipshot solid brass trem w/steel block in the new one. Zinc can rob you of tone - Callaham makes a killer vintage trem bridge w/steel block for @ $90 too. Strings too I'm finding I've been using Boomer TNT (10/52), but I'm moving up to GHS Nickle Rocker's 11/52) for more tone |

Mike, I bit the bullet last night and got the pickups I've been wanting all along. Fender Custom Shop 54s. Got a new set off ebay for $92! One final decision regarding the strat....white or black pearl pickguard? I really like the white, but the black pearl on a dark blue/purple body gives is a nice overall dark look. Opposite of my other strat. That's the way I'm leaning, black pearl with black pup covers and knobs. On the Texas Specials...my local GC has a really nice sunburst with rosewood fretboard MIM Strat with a white pearl pickguard and a set of TS for $379. They've had it since August for some reason. I played it the other day and it was sweeeeet. I bet they'd take a lot less for it. |

This one now has a Custom shop profile lefty neck, so it is just like SRVs one that he had. Candy Apple Red
This is the 1989 that I aquired from Chuck, I have since put a white pearloid pickguard on it. Cool Chrome Red finish. |

Seriously, that second shot you have of the red or burgundy Ember......that's my dream guitar at the moment only in black.
If it's anything like the Evo.....oh man. |

The wine red one is the original prototype PT 02 000, it is an alder body, mahogany set neck, Grover mini locking tuners, TonePro locking bridge and TonePro locking stop tail piece. The proto has Seymour Duncans Custom mini humbucker SM-2 in the neck, great grainy tone and raw power sound from it, and a JB in the bridge. Both are coil tapped.
It is a cool guitar, sounds like a Les Paul sounds like a Strat depending upon which pickup you use, it has very thick creamy rich tones and raw gritty power. |

Okay Bill, I take that back. My dream ember would be mahogany body (black), neck, ebony board, the small block inlay similar to your wine red model, with a Rio grande BBQ in the bridge.
I am not real familiar with alder. Would you recomend? I will say that a friend of mine mentioned he feels that alder is the best tone wood. |

Yeah of course there are 50 numbered ones, but I think most are from 2002!
all mine are, I remember that 2001 TC's were quite rare back when I bought my first!
not "rare" in the sense that they are incredibly valueable but just not many out there....who knows in 20 years! |

agree with the MusicMan ... but I think a US caddy Bass would give them a little competition ........

It was a joke from several months ago. Someone posted the pic link of Jenna Jameson posing with Charvels or Jacksons. I posted the question........"would you buy a guitar endorsed by this guy?" with a picture of The Hedgehog. Todd took it and photoshopped it to add my blue Caddy.
For the record, Ron Jeremy has never had his hands on my guitar.

That ML is SWEET!! Not to mention the owner! I love seeing more women play the guitar. After falling in lust with Torrie the drummer for The Donnas I know why women love rockers!! That woman looked hot beatin' those drums!!! |

Hmm the donnas eh'?
Until they prove to be female, I have my skepticism.
There are great female artists out there.
Jewel, Within Temptation, Tori Amos, Meredith Brooks
among others...
Thanks for the compliments though, I love that ML. |

You should...that ML is nothing short of droolalicious.
Trav...I can't see your pics. Hopefully it's just a bandwidth issue. |
