That's horrible! I don't even want to imagine the kind of abuse that guitar must have been through...
It's really a shame though...
As you said Hans, killer top and finish...
Geee, there are many sick people out there! |

Phuuf. If the price isn't going too high, Could be an idea to buy it and send it to Dean for repair of the original headstock. Killer looking otherwise.

Yup the finish is cool, if it had the original headstock I would bid on it too.....
But it is messed up, I think $ 500 is too high for such a major mod...maybe $ 100-200 and then you can try and restore it... |

Why would somebody go to such lengths to describe the damage and then not show pictures??? ......... very strange.
I doubt the Dean custom shop could fix this one. The new shop isn't really setup to do repairs on old Dean's. The only place I know of that might be able to fix this one correctly is GMW and it's gonna be very expensive. |

+1. He'll never expect a gang of angry DOAers on his doorstep. We could make it an early DOA gettogether. |

I sent the guy a note. He is the original owner. I made him an offer on it. Waiting to see if he accepts it. Dean Z told me he could furnish me with a replacement neck if I wanted to have someone do the actual work. If he takes my offer Im gonna save it. |

You are definitely a true samaritan Joe. I mean, an ML WITHOUT the BFH? How could he... |
