Hi guys,

I was wondering what someone thinks of Bartolini pickups as I have never played a guitar outfitted with these p'ups. I hear they are dynamite pickups and wonder how they stack up against Duncans or my favorite, Rio Grandes. I am most interested in the Bartolini ZBS 70.

Thanks for any input!

My Hardtail has Bartolini pups in it and I love them. They are extremely clean. Some may not like them as much because they don't crunch as well as Duncans or Dimarzio SD's. If you want to play with lots of distortion (heavy metal or death metal), they they are probably not the best choice. If you want to play classic rock, blues, jazz or any other clearner sounds, then they can't be beat. They have any extremely full and warm sound. As for the model of Bartolinis I have, I haven't got a clue. I absolutely love them though and they are a big reason my Hardtail is my favorate guitar.

Thanks!

I do see that on the Bartolini site, they have pickups designed for very heavy tones so I bet they have something for everyone. In fact..they have a pickup that they say crunches with the bets of them while retaining highs and clarity which sounds nice.
