I just got back from a lovefest with a THD V front combo and a Carr Hammerhead 1x12. I am in love!!!!Cant afford either one. OK maybe I could sell a couple lunkers err... I mean lookers I got sitting around and get the Carr. They were very cool my pal Rick who owns them was loving them. I played my Dean V and his Bigsby equipped Red '58 Reissue Les Paul Standard Custom Shop cutie. I also briefly played a PRS Cherry Sunburst McCarthy?, McCarty? (I forget and to lazy to look it up at the moment so expect edit if ness. ) I liked the Dean best of all but the LP was cool. My boy was VERY jealous of my Dean!! That from a guy who truely has THE STUFF!!
THD was a BIG noise maker with lotsa sag and crunch. Nice singing notes too. Scorpions and Judas Priest chord crunch!
The Carr was singing on the 9th fret E note on the G string and the 12th fret G note on the same string OMG!!! It was cool! Lil box pattern of notes there on the D and G string at the 9th and 12th frets was stinging! |
