Agreed Brian... My Helios has the same end on the fretboard... It's all in the details! |

This is Serial # PT O2 001, my other is PT O2 000( original proto),
these are the only two Embers that were built in 2002 by the LUTHIER, # 001 is the first regular production model. Man I am so psyched, the proto is alder, with Seymour Duncan's the quilt top has the Bartolini's which I understand really smoke. Body is 1 piece African Mahogany,Mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, real MOP inlay, medium high hand crowned and polished frets. All the work including the inlay and finish were done by the LUTHIER. Plus my sound clips will be on the Luthiers web-site in the near future.

Bill,
Looks very nice! Give me a review of those Bartolinis.
Brian,
I think that's property of the green monster Hulk himself

Lon,
They are like the old Gretsch style they unthread from a post mounted on the body of the guitar. A cool strap lock.

Crap, that figures. If it had looked that good in the pics on his website, I would have picked it up. Congrats, Bill. Are you sure it isn't PT03001? That's what his website says. |

Blood,
No need to say sorry, glad to see you posting. Personally I was never really about the looks, unless it's just plain fuggly firewood looking. These guitars sound like nothing I have ever heard before, they are truly incredible in my humble opinion.

Hey Bill, nice axe. Please let us know what you think of it compared to the Alder model. Any big differences in tone from one to the next? How does that african mahogany compare to honduran mahogany? I hear it is lighter.
