I am purchasing a used Dean Sunburst V, presumably a Vx series model which looks like it was produced aprox 3 years ago, maybe more, maybe less, I don't know. Does the serial number contain the production date? Anyway, the pickups are black and white humbuckers, but are they Dimetimes, Time Capsules, or what? Thank you to anyone who knows for sure! |

If it's a VX then they are whatever Korean or Chinese made pickup is used on those. They won't be DMT pickups. If it's used however it's possible the previous owner changed them so you should ask. |

Serial numbers on imports are just gibberish. the pickups are just generic import pickups, they aren't actual "Dean" (or any other brand) pickups. |
