Last night was a fun night. We played our very own Rob's band Cactus Chainsaw!

Is it metal-only or would you accept garage rock as well?

I used to do "The Metal Spotlight" on 99.3 in the very early '80s, and it was a gas. Ha, I had to supply my own records! Diamond Head, Venom, Motörhead and Girl School, Witchfinder General and Witchfynde, Demon, Angel Witch, Krokus, Samson and stuff like that. No one had ever heard of them around here, I had picked the albums up while touring England...

I had a Twisted Sister (I think) live EP from England... long before they hit here, and I used the intro "ARRRREEE Yooooooou REEEEADYYYY?" to start the show... I didn't realize for ages that I had the 45rpm 12 inch EP running at 33rpm so it was playing slow. No one ever noticed! Sounded pretty cool. Even after we found out, we left it as is.

I used to close with Witchfynde's "Wake up Screaming!"... I've forgotten all about that album, I wonder if I can get it on CD? Have to look...

Metal only... Hard Rock qualifies too. The station is a rock station so garage rock and other styles are the norm for the daily stuff which I'm not in control of.

I'm going to send you a PM. I'm opening a place in Rhode Island called ROK Bar n Grill so maybe we can align the time of the show with what's going on in house. I will always try and help support Metal in any way I can.

I used to love KNAC back in the day ( when they were on the air waves)
The first song they played was "It's a long way to the top " The last song they played was "fade to black"

PST is Pacific time which I assume is the same as Phoenix.

neato, have fun! Sounds like it would be a blast to do the dj thing for some metal radio! 8:00pm PST (11:00pm EST) is about 3 hours past my bed though, 3:00am work wake up call comes early!

I fixed it. I was muti-tasking when I typed that and didn't realize I had put November. The event has the right date.
