Has anybody tried this? I'm thinking about swapping my Art Preamp out for it. The 80Hz Rumble filter is very appealing to me since I seem to get a lot of that low rumble in my recordings.

I have used the original and like it. I don't know about the V2 but I'm sure it will be as good or better.

I would recommend to quit trying to use tube preamps on your guitar. it will always dirty up. you want a clean solidstate preamp signal for micing guitars with digital. was different for tape. tube preamps usually work better for vocals only.

You can just get a cheap Behringer mixer. Those have preamps built in to each channel. Tube preamps, like Chris said, will distort easier and may not work for you. I have only ever used them on Vocals and bass guitar.

That's what I'll do. I tried again tonight and I'm almost ready to give up. I'm going to return the art and see what else I can find. I'll look into the solid state mixer thing.

I just hope the rig sounds better going through the PA than it does into Reaper right now. Shocked

It's like sex for the ears in the room... Laughing

If I get this one I can run the emulated mic out in conjunction with the SM57 and mix them. I like the idea of having eq's right on the board for simplicity.

This one is nice too and a little rugged.
