So I just got a presonus audio box interface and its 24 bit.Now Ive been making my demos with sony music studio acid 8.0 on the drop down tab in the program it gives me 2 options for bit rate 8 and 16 so my question is can i still use the 2 together? will the interface do up to 24 bit?or only 24 bit?

With my sonar program, it when you configure the two It will give you all of the options that you have available. So If you have a 24 bit interface, 24 would be the highest in the menu. I am not familiar with sonys software, but you should get more choices in your dropbox when you configure your setup. Thats how mine works, hopefully yours is the same. |

It will only record in 8 or16 bit...which is the limit of the recording software...yes, you can use both together, but at 8 or 16 bit only. I like Sonar. |

...or you could upgrade to Acid Pro which supports 24 bit...or even Acid Studio has it too I believe...edit: I think Acid Studio 7 did 24 bit and they lowered it in 8... I will check into that. |
