Touch up paint?

I just got a Dean From hell CFH from a very cool Forum bro. It has a couple of nicks in the blue paint. Anyone know where to get touch up paint, or what color it is?

I know Dime's was beat to hell, I know that's how the guitar is supposed to look etc. I just want to start out with it all one color and go from there.

could try a auto parts store or auto paint store .. they sell touch up paint and if you bring it with you they can prob match it up.put a light base of color, build up some clear good, wet sand and buff it ..

There's really only one little spot I want to fix. It's not really that big.

It is difficult to repair poly paint like this.

But the above suggestion is probably your best bet.

Hey Powerglide350, I may be able to help you to some degree here. I am at the starting phases of making a Frankenstrat build (there will more than likely be numerous threads up in the coming weeks and months), anyway, I have been doing a lot of research into shades of blue, and if you go to this link, there is a guy who is comparing various shades of blue:

Personally, I would try a can of Rust-Oleum Painters Touch Brilliant Blue. It may not be perfect, but it will certainly make the mark less noticeable. Good luck! Razz

Oh wow, bazzabalboa, That looks pretty close. Yeah, I'm not concerned if it is absolutely perfect, I just don't want to see the grain of the wood anymore lol.
