Just got my Laney Ironheart Studio.
It was damaged when i got it unfortunately.
That left handle thingy..
The box had no damage to it, so it must have been like that from the beginning. They should really check their products before they send it to their customers.
I spoke to a nice lady at Thomann, and she told me to send it back within 30 days and they'll replace it with a new one.
Anyway.. it wasnt even possible to plug into it with that thing being in the way So i bent it just enough to be able to test it (don't worry.. i will bend it back before i return it).
This thing screams. It's a 15w (switchable to 1w for bedroom jamming) amp with lots of neat features like a USB Audio I/O and a RE-AMP send jack. The USB supplies both a dry signal and the processed signal – split left and right to your DAW – directly into either your PC/MAC or iPAD. It also has a internal dummy load, which means it doesn't need a external speaker connected in order to use it.
It has a british kinda sound to it imo. It reminds me a bit of a jcm800 and a engl savage, somehow.
Playing through 1w is pretty cool. Tone is FAT and warm, and still gets pretty loud.
Don't think i'll have the time to do a clip since i'm returning it tomorrow,
but chappers has a decent demo on youtube |

I've been very interested in these. Congrats man. They seem like killer amps. Too bad I don't have any Laney dealers near me. |

wierd since jcm800 and engl savage sound nothing alike. I would have plugged a angled cable into it instead of a straight cable since the handle is blocking a straight cable option. |

I used some force to straighten the handle up enough, so atleast i can try it. Yeah, i know they don't sound alike. It doesnt sound like both of them, but it has some of the characteristics of both if you dial it in correctly. |

I have the IRT60H and LOVE it. It's so versitile. It's got grit and a great clean channel for an amp with so much overdrive. No OD pedal is needed. |
