Black Hawk, War Pig.
Expect to pay a pretty penny, they are not cheap by any means. |

Any of them. You've got to be a bit more descriptive on what you're putting them in, what you want out of them, etc. |

BKP is so much bandwagoning these days. They certainly are good, but not better than any other different sounding pickups. I'd still take a super distorsion over any of them and they're 60€. |

Depends what guitar. I've had a Super Distortion in a guitar and it just didn't work. Threw an Invader in and that's what's in that guitar now, but it's kinda smooth so I might change it. Great for leads, but not as great for rhythm. It all depends on the guitar. Maybe one guitar will sound great with pickup A, but the next one will need different characteristics in a pickup to get the sound you want. It all depends what you're after, and Bareknuckle Pickups make great pickups... |

If price is an issue...,
stop worrying what your guitar will look like!!!
I bought a set of BKP Warpig bridge pups (uncovered) and the price was very reasonable.
They sound better than covered pups too IMHO.
Nickles go in a coin jar..., not on top of your pups |

I have a Miracle Man in an LP. Sounds good. I have an Aftermath set in an Ash ESP. Sounds awesome...not sure how that'd be in Mahogany. I've also got a Warpig I'm going to put in an Ash Strat and I like the Warpig a lot. The MM is the only one I've had in Mahogany. Email BKP and see what they say if you're set on BKP and you're unsure. This has always worked for me. |

i've got a VHII that i am putting in my dean slime at the moment, i wired it up wrong the first time and i need to redo it later. I only bought it because it was cheap it's got a metal camo like cover over it. If it turns out to be a keeper i might unsolder the cover as it will suit the slime better. |

Depends what guitar. |
Yes of course, but I see so many people asking "what BKP should I use" and plainly discounting old good DiMarzio, SD and others. They want the brand more than the tone. If they wanted a specific tone they'd know what actual model they want. |

It's probably because they want something different. |

The Warpig is a great choice. I've stopped chasing pups, they sound totally different in different guitars and also depends on what amp you have. Some combinations just plain don't work no matter the specs
Just play your guitar and be happy John, you'll save money and get better in the long run |

Hmmm.... well metal heads want more. I can understand that. I love the sound of my DSL 40c and I just got the limited run "V" with the time capsule and it is not a bad pup but I can say 100% I need a hotter pick up. As much as I like MSG and UFO Schenker sound I'm not really after it as much as I want good sustain and my amp should do it but it takes a bit of volume to get it done. I think a bit hotter pup will help but the deeper palm mute stuff is also going to depend on your amp to, correct me if I'm wrong ?
Someone here had suggested the nailbomb as well. |
