I was looking through old pics and just realized how many amps I've been through. No one probably cares but me, but I thought it was kind of interesting putting them all in a timeline...kinda crazy. If anyone has any questions on these amps I should be able to help!

My first amp head was a Randall RH-200SC. Did that high gain Randall thing great.
Image

Then I was looking for something different so I got my first Mesa. I was hooked from the get-go! Mesa/Boogie .50 Caliber + with a 2x12 Recto cabinet.
Image

I was looking for that Marshall sound, so I got this Peavey VTM60. Pretty similar to a JCM800 with Jose-type mods and 6L6s. I ended up modding it and building a new headshell (still working on the headshell). More on that later.
Image

Next I bought this little Crate.
Image

Gutted the Crate and built a new combo box for it and added an Eminence Texas Heat.
Image

Acquired this Traynor YBM-1 with a PPIMV installed.
Image

Modded the VTM to have two channels:
Image

Picked up a Randall RG80ES. Sounded pretty cool, but not really better than my Mesa or any of that so I ended up selling it.
Image

Made this amp around this time:
Image

Bought this 5150 and fixed it up.
Image

Traded the 5150 for this Triple Rec.
Image

Bought a Mesa/Boogie Mark III Green stripe. First it was in a rackmount. Then traded the rack mount for a EVM-12L to put in the combo cab and put it in that. Then got the white headshell for it.
Image
Image
Image

Bought a Mesa/Boogie DC-5. Liked that one a lot, but it was pretty similar to the Mark III and .50 Cal + so I sold it.
Image

Sold the Recto for my Sig:X. The amp I'd been dreaming about for years and finally found one.
Image

Picked up this Fender Bassman not working for cheap and then sold it after I got it working.
Image

Last head I picked up was this Marshall Vintage Modern.
Image

And here's my setup now. Still need to finish the headshell for the Peavey. Sold off a ton and might even thin the herd more. We'll see.
Image

It just blows my mind how much I've gotten to try out! Sorry for ranting to you all!

Yea Kris, that was a steal of a deal for me. Thanks again! Looking back I wish I still had a lot of these heads. At the time, I didn't like the 5150 as much as the Recto and such, but I'm curious to get one again. Maybe someday.

I also want a Recto again. I like the Rectos more than the Marks really...loved that Triple, but with my 2x12 I feel the Dual would be more appropriate. Maybe a Roadster like you've got when I get around to getting one...how do you like the Roadster vs. the Triple?

It's the same, just a 2nd clean channel plus a reverb tank for all 4 channels which is cool!!! just more stuff that will break live at some point... i'll probably switch back to a triple rec or go fractal

Why triple over dual?

Triple's tend to have more of a natural middy tone vs the dual due to the higher power

I definitely wish I could've kept it. I get the itch for that tone every now and then and that was a sweet looking head. Crying or Very sad

I'll make it simple what I don't have anymore

Late 70s Laney 100WT KLIPP (Miss this amp should have kept it)

Mesa Boogie MK1 with EQ. (Should have kept this too, and modded the EQ like I did with my MK2A)

Laney AOR 50 & 100 WT do not miss them

Mesa Boogie Studio 22 combo (utter crap.)

No dummy, you shouldn't have sold that Coliseum or the Quad. Even though the Coliseum used 6 tubes, it had some great sounds to it. That's why I'll never part with my Mark 2 C+s.
