I know Josh Rand from Stonesour uses those in his rig. Maybe do some YouTube or Google searches.

I don't own one, but I played through one a while back. Brootalz galore. Been after one ever since. Just seems like whenever one comes up, I have to put the money elsewhere. Stoopid responsibilities.

Cmon? 8 preamp tubes? Isn't that just too overkill? My Piranha has 2 and sounds great. My Boogies have 5 and sound great. If it doesn't sound like the rest of the rectified crap, I'm interested in hearing what it can do. H&K makes some killer cabinets. I actually liked the sound of them through a JCM2000, better than the 1960B Marshall cabinet.

Bud, now you know why I stayed single. It's a good thing my ex and split at the time we did. I got that 2nd MK2C+ about 2 months after our split.

So what do the extra preamp tubes do, besides distortion? Laughing Laughing Laughing

I saw the video, and it hisses like a snake pit. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Buffers, tone stack, reverb, effects loop... AX7s are not just about distortion.

I would think you would want AU7's instead for those areas, less distortion/noise

I just looked at the Tri-amp instruction manual. It's not a 3 channel amp like most. It's 3 separate amps. So if each has 3 AX7s in the preamp then that makes more sense. Hence 9 in total which are NOT shared by the other "Channels".
