I have a chance to pick up one of these tomorrow for $150 ($125 if I talk him down).

Anyone have experience with these? I realize they're not a high end
cab, but are they of good quality?

You can always gusset the cab if you feel it's not solid enough.
$125? take it!

I had one of those. It was the smallest 412 I've ever seen. Shitty speakers too. Sounded like horseshit.

Dude...do not buy that cab. You will not be happy. Save the 125 for a tank of gas.
If it was one of the XLT cabs then it would be different but those cabs are garbage.

While I'm at it...those cabs are the same crap as the new ampeg guitar cabs too. Built badly, cruddy cabs that can ruin your day. Complete waste of resources and time. Advertising #$%&#@ with a name on it that people recognize and all press board. Man I hate those cabs...in addition to other things they make a well built cheap guitar sound bad. Used to be the speakers were the least of your worries.

I've got 2 of them. They don't sound bad, but they aren't spectacular either. They don't have as much bottom end as a full sized cab.

Didn't know they were undersized.
