Mark Briody of Jag Panzer

Mark Briody is one of the founding members of the heavy metal band Jag Panzer. As a member of Jag Panzer, Mark has released 9 albums internationally, toured in 13 countries and been featured in over 400 articles worldwide.

Jag Panzer exploded onto the underground metal scene in 1982. Their 4-song e.p., nicknamed ‘The Tyrant’s E.P.’ became a favorite of metal fans worldwide. Mark’s guitar on that first release was a 1982 Dean Z Standard. “I was a teenager when we recorded that first record. I had a part-time job and I saved for about 6 months to buy that guitar. It was a beautiful Blueburst Z. My first Dean was a flame series, so the standard was a big step up for me”.

Today Mark’s guitar arsenal includes several U.S. Deans. “I’ve got a Hardtail and Time Capsule Cadillac that I love, but my main guitar is the Soltero. I fell in love with the Soltero that minute it was unveiled at Summer NAMM 2006. I ordered one immediately. This is the guitar I’ve been waiting my whole life for! The Soltero has the look, the sound and the feel that I’ve always dreamed of.
