John Karl
John Karl was born in Schenectady, New York, the youngest child of a teacher whose true passion has always been country music, whether he was playing it or just showing others how to enjoy it. "I started singing at the age of 3 and have always wanted to sing and perform to others." Later on, John began singing in his church youth chorus and in many different local bands. "People used to tell me to make a living out of my talent. Ever since then that is exactly what I have been trying to do.”
Two years ago John up routed his family and took the trek to Nashville. His biggest push was his wife Tracey who said that she did not want him to have any regrets later in life. “He has always dreamed of being a country artist and I believe in him just as many others do.”
Once in Nashville, John set out to make contacts and pay his dues. He has performed at The Trap, Tootsies and other smaller venues so he could hone his craft. John's career took a giant step forward when he was asked to open for such great acts as Trick Pony, Sawyer Brown, Ricochet, Eric Heatherly and Lee Greenwood. John won the local Colgate Country Showdown in upstate New York and has been nominated for the Sun Rise Award and Best Male Vocalist in the North East CMA.
John's vocal ability combines a strong and unique blend of pure country mixed with top forty. John’s sound is that of a fresh, new and unique country artist with his own vocal identity.
