Power Quest was conceived in March 2001 by keyboardist Steve Williams after he left London power metal heroes "DragonHeart" which is now DragonForce with fellow band mate Steve Scott (ex-Shadowkeep and ex-DragonHeart) to take care of the bass duties.

2001 - THE DEMO CD

The first 2 track demo was recorded and uploaded onto MP3.com early 2001. Recording was supported by ZP and Sam Totman (currently with Dragonforce), along with Adam Bickers on Guitar.

2002 - WINGS OF FOREVER CD

In April 2002 vocalist Alessio Garavello was recruited to the Power Quest ranks. He was recommended to the band by Maurizio Chiarello, label manager at Underground Symphony records. In July 2002 Power Quest won Italian guitarist: Andrea Martongelli. He accompanied Alessio to England while he recorded his vocals for "Wings of Forever" and put down a couple of guest solos. The band was impressed with his ability and creativity and offered him the chance to join the line up shortly afterwards. After a long wait for the finished product, "Wings of Forever" received an amazing feedback from the fans.

2003 - NEVERWORLD CD with Multimedia Rockumentary Video.

In January 2003 drummer Andre Bargmann joined the Quest and at the same time Sam Totman was cutting back his involvement with the band due to his other commitments, although he offered to be around in a "guest" capacity. "NeverWorld", the follow up to "Wings of Forever", was recorded at Thin Ice between June 10th and July 18 th 2003, with production handled by Karl Groom. The mix was done by Pete Coleman at Mastertone studios in Runcorn. The album was released in March 2004 though Now and Then Records. [ more ]

The current lineup sees Steve Williams on keyboards, Francesco Tresca on drums, Steve Scott on bass, Alessio Garavello on guitars and vocals and Andrea Martongelli on guitars.

Andrea is currently using the Dean Cadillac Black Gold and the USA Pro Cadillac Guitars. While Alessio is using a Dean V Black Gold and a Michael Schenker Custom and Steve Scott is playing a Dean Demonator 4 bass.
